CBC Newsletter is judged to be amongst the Best in the UK by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.

It’s been a good week. Following on from our last blog on Newsletters (Wednesday, 30 July 2008), we have just heard that we have been shortlisted for the Chartered Institute for Public Relations (CIPR) PRide Award for the Best Newsletter for our work with the Surrey Research Park. The Award ceremony is set for 31st October. So fingers crossed!

Investors in People and Flexible Sunshine

I’m smiling in spite of the lovely English rain. We have been successfully reassessed once again and get to keep our Investors in People accreditation. Not only that but Jim, our assessor, says that we are one of the best examples of work/ life balance that he has ever seen.

This does not make me any less jealous of my colleagues working away in Italy and France though. Olivia, in Italy, and Michael, in France, have lovely sunshine.. They tell me it’s hard to concentrate in the heat but I wouldn’t mind giving it a try!

If only we could have flexible sunshine in the workplace – share some of that fantastic Mediterranean weather – then life would be truly fair:-)

Chaz on TV …. again?

Hi, goodness know what it’s going to be like ….. !!

Chaz as media mentor is on today BBC1 4:05pm

The Smokehouse: “Six children put their parents on a quit-smoking course, living in the smokehouse rehab centre with doctors and psychologists. The teams take to the streets to see how many other smokers they can convince to kick the habit. The battle is on to come up with a powerful campaign and eye-catching publicity stunts.”

Did I manage to come up with a “powerful campaign and eye-catching publicity stunts”
Ummmmm — dunno! I’m a bit nervous now as to how it will come out — hopefully you all will be far too busy to watch it 🙂 I suppose it will be on i-Player or whatever afterwards (it’s Episode 9)

With trepidation — all the best and have a Happy Easter
